2019
  • Canoco was founded by Chris Engel after years in the field as a Welder, Superintendent, and Turnaround Manager.
  • First major contract: Planning large-scale turnaround for CNRL (Pine River Gas Plant).
  • Successfully completed a 350,000 man-hour turnaround.

  • First mechanical project: Narraway Gas Plant for CNRL.
  • Grew to 125 craft.
  • Moved into mid-scale fabrication shop in Spruce Grove.

  • Completed first major fabrication project (12,000 DIA inches).
  • Launched first heavy oil turnaround at Horizon with over 200 craft.
  • Completed Septimus Fall Turnaround.

2022
  • Opened Fort St. John, BC office.
  • Secured long-term contract with Sherritt (mining & petrochemical T/A & maintenance).

2023
  • Founded Canoco International in Mongolia.
  • Opened new flagship fabrication facility in Fort Saskatchewan.
  • Began LNG Canada mega-project (11-month scope).

  • Peak workforce reached 650 craft.
  • Invested in 45T bundle puller to expand specialty service capacity.
  • Awarded P2Zero contract.
  • Hired Indigenous Relations Advisor.
  • Achieved 1 million man-hours with zero lost time injuries.
